About Chipping Norton Swifts
Founded in 1893, Chipping Norton Swifts has a proud history in both senior and junior football. Today, the club is fully focused on youth development, with 148 boys and girls registered across its teams. Excitingly, they now have three dedicated girls’ squads competing in the Oxfordshire Girls Football Leagues, with the Under 10s being one of the most promising age groups.
The U10 Girls team is made up of a manager, two dedicated coaches, and nine enthusiastic players, with new members always welcome. They play their home matches at Chipping Norton School on Saturday mornings, cheered on by families and supporters.
The club also competes in both the Witney & District Youth Football League and the Oxfordshire Youth Football League, with age groups running from Under 7s through to Under 16s. Their focus is on nurturing young players in a supportive, community-driven environment, preparing them for senior football while encouraging enjoyment of the game.
Community support at its best
All squads benefit from FA-qualified coaches and first aid training, with training sessions running year-round. The club relies heavily on the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of sponsors, whose support helps fund kits, equipment, and facilities to keep grassroots football thriving.
The Swifts actively promote their sponsors through their website and social media channels, ensuring that local businesses like Opalstone are recognised for their contribution to the community.
